Dana Pavese, Ed.S., LPC

Dana is a Licensed Professional Counselor working as a psychotherapist in private practice. She is a National Board Certified Counselor and a Member of the American Counseling Association.  Dana is also a certified School Counselor, with experience in kindergarten through 12th grade. Her school counseling experience is especially helpful in working with children and adolescents (and their families), as Dana has a comprehensive understanding regarding the academic, social and emotional impact of the school environment. She also works collaboratively with the school (as needed/requested) to support the child. She has served as a member of Intervention and Referral Services teams and has extensive experience with Section 504 Plans and Individualized Education Plans. Dana has worked as a practitioner in mental health and school counseling services for over 10 years, working extensively with children, adolescents, adults and families.

Dana is an alumnus of Seton Hall University, where she has earned a Masters degree and a degree as an Education Specialist. Dana has served as a member of the Bergen County Flight Team and is a Certified Children's Yoga Instructor. She has developed School Counseling Curriculum, focused on character development, bullying and conflict resolution. She has lectured and guest lectured on topics including anxiety, stress management, social media impacts, bullying prevention, social skills, ADD/ADHD, and parenting skills. Dana was also voted one of New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Doctors by NJ Family Magazine as a Psychotherapist.
